Math

This year we have learnt so much things from math but my favorite topic this year in maths was definitly Propability.  Propability is very easy and probably why I enjoyed it so much, I also enojyed it because I actually understood it.  The topic I found most diffucult was definitly measurement, I didn't udnerstand it at all even though I write everything I heard onto my book and payed attention to most lessons and I still didn't understand but next year I hope to do next year is to do some revision because I want to be smart next year and I don't want to fail my tests in the coming year.

Consumerism

 Today we watched a video in Social Studies called "Consumerism".  The video was an animated story about consumerism, consumerism is when marketers make new products and social force people to buy a new product.  The main message I got from that video is that consumerism is a big problem globally.  The process of consumerism leads to a lot of pollution.

Film Shots

In English we are doing film study, in film study we are learning about the different camera angles.  We are also learning about the importance of music, dialogue and props in films. Music is used in movies to create suspense and make it more exciting.  Dialogue is basically talking.  And props are used to help others understand what is going to happen next.  Next we are going to be learning how to identify themes in movies.

 

Waiomio River

On Wednesday my class and I went down to the Waiomio River.  We went to the river to see what kind of environment the fish were living in.  We tested to see if it was a safe environment for fish, so we had to test the water and see what kind of animals lived in the River.  The animals that lived there indicated what kind of environment they lived in.  They were living in an okay environment which means that they weren’t living in a bad environment but not a good one either.

Leadership Program

There was a leadership program run by the firefighters and policemen.  The promgram was used to create confidence, temwork, and leadership within ourselves.  It was really fun but sadly for me I am a year 8 and can't continue with the program.  I really enjoyed the program and I hope to see this promgram in 2021.

Arataki Visiting :)

On Tuesday every week we participate in this thing set up by the fire brigade and we work as a team, if one person doesn't do something properly then we all get punished.  It was extra interesting this week because the Arataki people from the college came up to Kawakawa Primary to teach us some commandments.  I reckon we were learning faster and better with their commucation  skills.  We were very good at everuything alse besides the march because most people.

 

Free Writing - weekend

 Last week on the weekend I went to bed at about 12am and woke up at like 1pm because I like sleep.  My dad went diving for saturday and forgot about me and my brother until 11:00pm and my mum was with my sister for the weekend for her wananga, so basically I was just on a 7 hour call with my cousin for the day, doing nothing but drinking monster and playing roblox and sleeping.  On Sunday my dad woke up and grabbed my brother and took him to waitangi.  My mum was with them, they didn't even bother to ask me.  They left and I was in the room again, drinking monster, sleeping and on another call with my friend.  That was the most boring weekend of my life.  (I was with my nan and papa for the weekend)
